Porters play important roles in NHS and private hospitals where they are responsible for moving patients and large equipment. Both patients and equipment need to be handled with understanding and, of course, safely. Porters’ uniforms need to make them easily identifiable to other staff and of course porters’ workwear has to be practical and comfortable.
Our Trousers for men are a mainstay of a porter’s uniform. Styles available are: Mens Trouser One – Navy, Mens Trouser One – Black, Mens Trouser Two – Navy and Mens Trouser Two – Black. Style number One features sewn-in front creases and has 4 pockets including 2 rear pockets. It has a zip fly and comes in sizes 30-42 and in 2 leg lengths: Regular (78cm) and Tall (83cm). Style Two has sewn down front pleats and 3 pockets. It’s also available in 2 leg lengths and the same sizes and trouser One. All trousers are made from our special 67% polyester and 33% cotton fabric which stands up well to repeated washing and wearning.
Match our trousers with our Tunics. Our Male Tunic – White, Male Tunic – Sailor Navy and Male Tunic – Royal are perfect for porters. Each tunic has contrast piping around the collar and sleeves and has a concealed zip front fastening and rear vents and pleats. All can have a logo or name added and are available from stock in sizes 36 to 54.
If you don’t work on wards it may be that one of our Coats would be your first choice of workwear. Our Coat with Lower Pocket is available in 6 colours including Super White, Navy and Royal. It’s available in sizes 92cm to 140cm. It also has a concealed front stud fastening, and adjustable sleeves.
Wear tops from our Casuals range under your coat. Our T-Shirt is made from a heavyweight 195gsm poly cotton and is available in sizes Small to XXLarge. There are 9 colour options including Black, Red, Navy and White.
