Dementia Support Worker

Dementia support is an area of rapid change with an increasingly elderly population and changes within the NHS. Increasingly dementia support is provided by charities and specialist organisations rather than the NHS. However you may be employed by NHS Trust (or Health Board) providing it’s Dementia Support Worker Service or by a residential or care home.

Dementia workers uniforms are varied but many choose a practical tunic teamed with trousers for workwear.  We have a variety of Female Tunics in both solid and striped fabric.  Solid colours include White, Sailor Navy, Royal, Mint, Hospital and Bottle. Each colour is complemented by contrasting piping. So for example our Female Tunic – Hospital has white piping and the Female Tunic – White has navy piping. Recognising this may be a staple of your work wardrobe we offer a Saver Pack of 10 Female Tunics – White.  All solid colour tunics are available in sizes 8 to 28 and are made from a 67% polyester and 33% cotton fabric which makes them easy to maintain and hard-wearing. Design details include back vents with action pleats, one polyurethane pen pocket, breast pockets and lower front hip pockets and a concealed zip fastening to the front.

The same design details are shared by our striped female tunics which are available in Blue Stripe, Grey Stripe, Lilac Stripe, Aqua Stripe and Navy Stripe.

We also design 5 male tunics including Male Tunic - Sailor Navy and Male Tunic – Royal. These are solid colour tunics with contrasting white piping in sizes 36 to 54. But if you’re looking for something a little different we also design a Male Tunic with Epaulette Loops.  It’s available in white only and epaulettes are available also for separate purchase. For those looking to bulk buy we offer a Saver Pack of 10 Male Tunics – White. All male tunics have pockets and back vents with action pleats for comfort.

Depending on where you work you might be allowed to wear your own trousers. But you can choose to wear our specialist Trousers. Ladies trousers are available in Navy in a Straight Leg or Bootleg or with an elasticated waist. For example our Female Elasticated Trouser – Navy has an elasticated waistband for extra comfort. Available in sizes XSmall to XXLarge it comes in Regular and Tall lengths and has 2 pockets. For men we have two styles available in Black or Navy available in sizes 30 to 42. Just choose whether you prefer sewn-in front creases (Mens Trouser One – Black) or sewn-down front pleats (Mens Trouser Two – Navy). Trouser Two has 3 pockets and Trouser One – 4 pockets.
