Catering Uniforms

Hospital catering uniforms or, uniforms for care home catering workwear demands the same rigorous selection as other uniforms.  Our research told us NHS Trusts and care homes would like to source all their uniforms from the same supplier. Why wouldn’t a hospital uniform supplier design and make catering uniforms? That’s our thought exactly.   But of course it’s not the only requirement.

We were told hospital catering uniforms had to hard-wearing and comfortable – just like their care counterparts and of course hygiene is paramount.  One gripe we found was that catering uniforms were typically quite expensive because they are purchased in smaller numbers. At Alsicare we’ve addressed that with all our uniforms. Yes, NHS Trusts and other large suppliers buy from us.  But from day one we’ve wanted to cater for self-employed staff who may only order 1 or 2 uniforms a year. After all, why should small businesses be penalised?

So, one year after the launch of Alsicare comes our hospital catering uniforms: perfect for large institutions and smaller care and nursing homes.  We don’t do things by halves so you’ll find a complete range of Aprons and Tabards, Coats, Coveralls, Headwear, Jackets and Trousers. From hospital chefs to food porters and kitchen assistants, we have your catering staff covered for their uniform needs. And again, we have made the minimum order just 1 garment.

Our Tabards and aprons start at just £5.79 and there is a variety of colours and designs to suit all levels of hospital kitchen staff. As well as black and white, you’ll find unusual colours such as Smokeberry and Spruce Green.

We offer one style of coat but we’ve made sure it’s the best it can be – our Food Trade Coat with Upper Pocket. At just £8.95, it’s made from durable poly-cotton in 4 colours and in sizes 92-140cm.  

It’s a similar story with our Food Trade Coverall. The Coverall is available in 4 colours and 2 fits – Regular and Tall and in sizes 92cm to 140cm. And because we understand the care home catering trade – or for that matter hospital catering – we’ve designed it with an action back.

Kitchen headwear isn’t always popular but it’s an essential element of hygiene. We’ve developed 4 designs including Elasticated Skull Caps at just £3.49.

Our Jackets and Trousers have been designed to work well together or are equally functional bought as separates. There are five styles of jacket including 2 Unisex designs with prices starting at £14.99. Meanwhile our Trousers come in 5 different styles including 2 women’s designs and a unisex style. Prices start at £12.95.

Commercial kitchens are a demanding environment to work in.  Hospital and care home kitchens are no exception.  Therefore we’ve made sure our garments are designed to be practical, comfortable and durable.
