Children’s nursing is a recognised specialisation, and much sought after.
While this form of nursing is most commonly associated with paediatrics, children’s nurses can be found in many different contexts: From teenage cancer wards to children just born to working in school and other community environments.
If you work as a children’s nurse you’ll know these roles are challenging - children aren’t small adults. Dealing with often emotional and distressed parents requires a reassuring and calm way about you.
Your uniform will vary depending on where you work. Nurses’ dresses are a popular choice and we offer an extensive range. The Step-In Panelled Dress is a design classic. Ours is made from superior easy care fabrics in a wide range of plain and stripe colours. Ours feature a rounded collar, short sleeves and contrast piping. 4 external pockets with one incorporating a polyurethane pen pocket mean the dress is practical too. Back vents with action pleats give plenty of movement and there is a concealed zip at the front. The finished length is 107cm and sizes range from 8 to 28. Colours include hospital, bottle, navy, mint and grey stripe.
We also design an extensive range of Female and Male Tunics. We offer two ranges of female tunics: Our standard range and the premium A-Frame/Move tunics. The A-Frame/Move tunics have a different structure, designed to keep the wearer cool and allow plenty of movement. These are white with a choice of contrasting trim to the collar, pockets and action back. The finished length is 79cm and the size range is 8 to 28. Our standard female tunics have similar features to our dresses and are again available in a wide range of colours including hospital, sailor navy and white. Closure is by way of a concealed front zip. Male children’s nurses can opt for an A-Frame/Move tunic or a standard tunic in white, hospital or navy, all with contrast piping. These are available in sizes 36 to 54 while the A-Frame/Move tunics come in sizes 36 to 48.
Our range of Trousers provides plenty of options for finding stylish trousers to team with our tunics. Male nurses can choose from 2 styles in black or navy while females can choose from 3 designs including one style in smokeberry. Available sizes vary according to the design and saver packs are available for some styles.
A name or logo can be added to any garment by our in-house embroidery team. There is no minimum order and orders placed before 3pm are posted the same day.
